Eva Ludwig is a visual artist and videographer with her own production company Xtrafilm, living and working in Bonn, Germany.
After graduating from high school, Eva became a dance teacher and completed additional training in dance sports, jazz and tap dance. During her time as a dance teacher in Augsburg and Bonn, she continued to pursue the visual arts, creating stage sets, sculptures and installations for shows.
After finishing her career as a dance teacher, she started to study philosophy and to work in the media industry.
Her forms of expression as an artist include experimental animation shorts and oil painting.
Since her early childhood, Eva has been fascinated by the surreal. This fascination continues to find expression in her work, both in film and painting.
Her work deals with what makes us human: the inner processes (thoughts, feelings, memories, experiences, etc.) that are reflected in the outer world and thus influence the entire environment of the individual - on both a small and a large scale.
Political and social issues are also reflected in her work, especially in her films. Eva's goal is to invite the viewer to engage with the issues and to focus on the fact that we as human beings are obligated to live humanity, even and especially when we are in positions of leadership. This is especially true for heads of state, who are responsible for a large number of people.
